We were really looking forward to documenting this wedding; the location, weather and light were set to be perfect and after a wet British wedding season it made a nice change. On the morning of the wedding, we set off from our hotel to meet the girls and boys with the sun shining. Tim meeting the girls at the Elia hotel where they were enjoying breakfast.
After breakfast and a quick swim it was time to head to their room to start getting ready. Champagne and peppa pink were the order of the day. Whilst I was with the girls, Paul was over at the boys apartments about to eat a full English breakfast. These bags are cool, love the little illustrations of bride and bridesmaids – Team Sarah 🙂Cool shot of Layla running away from me.“Dudes”
Proud DadThe Chapel was in Lindos, right next to the beach. A short walk down a really steep hill, good for heels. Luckily we left our heels at home. As the guys baked by the chapel, Sarah was just about to set off. Right after a few quick portraits. We were told to ceremony was going to be short, it really was the shortest I’ve ever seen. Within 2 mins of Sarah arriving, the rings were exchanged. Paul was on the inside to capture that whilst I took some shots from a far. Group shot and then some confetti action.
Pimms timeThe speeches went well and with the sun nice and low, it was time to head out for some portraits. Another favourite shot below, taken off the cuff and some luck with focus, especially at f1.4The guy on the scooter wasn’t impressed with Paul’s charm.Looks familiar 🙂
After an awesome portrait session it was time for some Greek Dancing and to get the party started.
With such a late portrait shoot we almost didn’t get chance to put together an on the day slideshow. A little later than usual we managed to hit play. Check out the slideshow below for extra photographs.
